      Brief introduction:

Qingcaosha Reservoir is located on Qingcaosha, an alluvial sandbar northwest of Changxing Island.  Because Qingcaosha has a large amount of high-quality fresh water, the Shanghai municipal government decided in 2006 to build Qingcaosha into Shanghai's water source to change the pattern that more than 80% of Shanghai's tap water source comes from Huangpu River.

Qingcaosha Reservoir is the largest Jiangxin Reservoir in China at present, with a maximum effective capacity of 553 million cubic meters and a designed effective capacity of 435 million cubic meters.  It has a total length of 43 kilometers of levees, enclosing nearly 70 square kilometers of water, equivalent to 10 West Lake in Hangzhou.

Please note that the transportation and meals will be arranged in a unified way for this academic field-trips. In addition, a certain service fee will be charged. You can choose whether to participate in this academic field-trips voluntarily or not.
